Insurance
Important: porter.com.pk does not provide insurance cover for tasks, customers, or Porters. Each Porter is responsible for maintaining any insurance that may be required for the work they offer, based on the task type and UK requirements. Customers should review requirements and may request proof before proceeding.
Verified ≠ Insured
Some task categories are marked as “already verified”. Verification means identity or basic platform checks have been completed. It does NOT mean that the Porter holds valid insurance.
- Verification confirms platform-level checks only.
- Insurance responsibility remains with the Porter where applicable.
- Customers may request proof of insurance before task start.
- porter.com.pk does not provide insurance cover for verified tasks.
What porter.com.pk does (and does not) do
We do not insure tasks
We do not provide public liability, professional indemnity, goods-in-transit, motor, or any other insurance for tasks booked via the platform.
We help with reporting
If something goes wrong, use Support to report the incident. We may request evidence to review disputes and platform actions.
Porters must be prepared
Porters should ensure they have any relevant insurance, licences, or qualifications required for the work they offer.
Recommended approach
- Porters: keep valid insurance where applicable (and keep proof ready).
- Customers: ask for proof if the task is higher risk (repairs, electrical/plumbing, lifting/moving, childcare, transport).
- Both sides: keep communication in-platform and agree scope clearly before starting.
- Urgent risks: for emergencies, contact appropriate services first (e.g., medical/police) then inform Support.
